Job Summary

Use Opcenter Exec Discrete Process and Teamcenter to deliver high-quality automotive industry projects in a hybrid work environment with day shifts and no travel requirements. Help provide robust, efficient digital manufacturing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design dependable verification and validation scenarios for automotive applications, ensuring functional correctness, compliance with industry standards, and reliability across a range of operating conditions within complex production environments.
• Develop and configure Opcenter Exec Discrete solutions to streamline shop floor execution for automotive manufacturing, while enhancing traceability, quality control, and overall production efficiency.
• Implement and improve Opcenter Exec Process workflows to align process steps, material flows, and data capture for precise and repeatable automotive manufacturing operations.
• Create and tailor Teamcenter configurations to support effective management of product data, engineering changes, and bill of materials for automotive programs across the product lifecycle.
• Integrate Opcenter Exec and Teamcenter modules with existing enterprise systems to enable smooth data exchange, consistent master data, and unified digital threads spanning automotive design and manufacturing activities.
• Evaluate complex production and engineering concerns raised by automotive stakeholders, and provide clear technical solutions that reduce rework, improve first time right results, and support continuous improvement.
• Document technical designs, configuration decisions, test cases, and validation outcomes with an emphasis on auditability and reuse to enable future enhancements and easier onboarding for project team members.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality to gather requirements, refine solutions, and ensure delivered capabilities meet real expectations in automotive plants.
• Conduct root cause analysis for defects identified during automotive verification and validation cycles, and implement corrective configurations to prevent recurrence and improve overall solution stability.
• Enhance application performance for Opcenter Exec and Teamcenter deployments by tuning configurations, queries, and data structures to support scalable and responsive operations in high-volume automotive environments.
• Assist user acceptance testing by creating controlled test data, guiding business users through realistic automotive scenarios, and capturing feedback to drive targeted system refinements.
• Contribute to internal best practice templates and technical guidelines for automotive digital manufacturing and lifecycle management solutions, ensuring future projects leverage consistent and proven methods.
• Ensure all delivered configurations and customizations follow company quality standards, cybersecurity practices, and automotive industry regulations, supporting safer products and more reliable transportation solutions.

Qualifications

• Show strong hands-on experience in automotive verification and validation, including test design, execution, and defect management across both functional and integration areas.
• Demonstrate deep, practical knowledge of Opcenter Exec Discrete capabilities, including routing management, work order execution, data collection, and nonconformance handling for automotive manufacturing.
• Apply solid working knowledge of Opcenter Exec Process features, including recipe management, process parameter control, and genealogy tracking for process-oriented automotive production.
• Demonstrate strong capability in configuring and using Teamcenter for product data management, change management, and collaboration among engineering and manufacturing stakeholders in the automotive domain.
• Provide proven exposure to automotive industry processes, including design release, production ramp up, quality gates, and compliance needs, ensuring solutions reflect real plant operations.
• Leverage strong programming and scripting skills along with database concepts to extend and integrate Opcenter Exec and Teamcenter solutions when required by project goals.
• Demonstrate clear communication, analytical thinking, and documentation skills to collaborate effectively in a hybrid work model and support day shift global project activities.
