Job Description
Electrical System Design : Design and develop electrical systems, components, and products for a wide range of applications, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Schematic Design : Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using CAD software (e. g. , AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical).
Component Selection : Select appropriate electrical components, including sensors, actuators, controllers, and power distribution systems, based on project requirements and specifications.
Prototyping and Testing : Build and test prototypes of electrical systems and components, identifying and resolving design issues and optimizing performance.
Safety and Compliance : Ensure that electrical designs comply with safety standards and regulations (e. g. , NEC, IEC, UL) and address potential safety hazards.
Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation of electrical designs, including BOMs (Bills of Materials), schematics, and technical specifications.
Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to ensure successful project execution.
Cost Optimization : Work to optimize the cost-effectiveness of electrical designs while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-7 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design, such as AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including circuit design, power distribution, and control systems.
- Familiarity with electrical standards and codes (e. g. , NEC, IEC). Experience with electrical simulation and analysis tools is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools (e. g. , EPLAN, Altium) is a plus.
