Deputy Manager Procurement

Job description

• Handle plant procurement activities of Raw materials, Stores & Spares, services for smooth operation of plant. Initially handle the procurement, follow up, taking GRN of all plant, machineries & equipment (both indigenous & imported) for projects.

Responsibilities

• Creation or extension of all item codes for plant machineries, equipment, services.
• Making purchase orders as per the approval and comparative note sheet by the Purchase Team.
• Follow up with Vendors are per P.O Terms for delivery of materials. Maintain proper records & ensure gate entry of all incoming materials.
• In coordination with the EHS Manager, communicate the requirement of contractor safety management to all service contractors.
• Ensure receipt of material as per purchase order terms, making GRN, sending invoice to Finance department
• Communication with vendors for any short receipt or quality deviation and process documents for commercial settlement.
• Regular stock taking and ensure the matching of physical stock with book stock (i.e SAP Stock)
• Inward logistic follow up and making comparative sheets & get it approved from appropriate authority
• Education, background, level of experience

Essential/Mandatory:

Educational Qualification :

• BE/B.Tech Mechanical/Electrical Or Graduate with MBA.

Other qualification :

• Good knowledge in SAP MM Module and Computer knowledge (Microsoft office & Google sheet)
• Experience : Minimum 5-6 years experience of Purchase/Procurement of Capex / MRO spares in manufacturing Industries like Steel, Cement , Aluminum, Refractories, Ceramics, Power Plants.
