Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain SDH, Submarine DWDM, and power feeding equipment at the landing station as per preventive maintenance schedules and test protocols.
- Ensure minimal Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) by following the corrective maintenance process and working closely with ITMC for handling circuit complaints.
- Adhere to and implement O&M processes; maintain compliance and operational discipline.
- Manage inventory and spares for transmission equipment, power systems, land/power cables, and related accessories.
- Conduct routine circuit testing and coordinate circuit handover to backhaul/ITMC teams.
- Perform preventive inspections of land cable routes from the Landing Station to the beach manhole.
- Ensure calibration and upkeep of all test and landing equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of backhaul connectivity, port utilization, and fiber mapping.
Decision-Making Responsibilities:
- Prime: Responsible for both corrective and preventive maintenance of CLS equipment and land cables.
- Shared (with ITMC/NOC):
- Circuit delivery coordination
- Support in corrective maintenance interventions
- Contributory: Provides input into network optimization and process improvements.
