Core Responsibilities:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and developing large-scale distributed data processing pipelines utilizing Datastage and related technologies.
• Proficient in Datastage ETL batch processing.
• Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL methodologies and techniques.
• UNIX shell scripting skills will be beneficial for scheduling and executing application jobs.
• Experience with cloud pak for data will be considered a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in project development life cycle tasks and maintenance projects.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and other subject matter experts (SMEs) to grasp high-level business requirements.
• Work alongside Solution Designers to aid in developing project plans by participating in the scoping and estimation of proposed projects.
• Utilize your technical expertise and business acumen to gather Systems Requirements for projects.
• Engage in an Agile environment, participating in daily scrum standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Comprehend project requirements and convert them into technical solutions that comply with project quality standards.
• Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team environment, coordinating with upstream and downstream functional teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related issues.
• Possess strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• A desire and experience working within a Global delivery framework.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in development.

• Proven ability to enhance ETL performance through efficient design, parallel processing, and tuning strategies within DataStage InfoSphere environments.
• Experience in implementing quality practices such as reusable frameworks, standardized templates, and review checklists to enhance consistency and expedite delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to clarify requirements, communicate risks, and align delivery schedules with business priorities.
