Data/ETL Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug microservices using Java, Golang, Spring Boot,
  
  

MySQL, NoSQL on AWS.

• Participate in creating high-level and low-level designs, including
  
  

component diagrams, sequence diagrams, technology selections, API specifications,

and database schemas.

• Conduct periodic code reviews with scrum teams and ensure that the right
  
  

product is being built.

• Perform regular security reviews and conduct peer design reviews.
• Debug production incidents related to microservices, authentication,
  
  

authorization, database, elastic search, UI (React), etc.

Leadership

• Must be transparent and demonstrate a growth mindset.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be open-minded, collaborative, and drive outcomes through influence.
• Must demonstrate ownership of the projects they work on.
  
  

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in building scalable cloud-native applications.
• Proficient in different AWS technology stacks.
• Practitioner of cloud security, privacy, and compliance
• Bachelor or master's in computer science or related fields.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English
• Must be able to contribute to design and code reviews and support other team
  
  

members in troubleshooting/problem-solving.

• Knowledgeable of application performance and resource consumption
  
  

optimization.

• Ability to simplify complex and abstract issues.
  
  

Must Have Skills

• Java, Spring Boot, JPA, REST, Microservice pattern & related
  
  

technologies

• Web services and web frameworks
• Database – No SQL (Mongo), MySQL
• AWS core constructs – Lambda, SNS/SQS, S3, KMS, EC2, Secret Manager,
  
  

CloudWatch, API GW, VPC, Load balancer

• Splunk or Datadog APM
• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Kubernetes and containerized workloads
• CI/CD and DevOps practices, preferably Azure DevOps knowledge
