Key Responsibilities:
- Overview of the Role
- Oversee database operations and service delivery on Oracle and SQL Server platforms, focusing on enhancing performance, ensuring high availability, automating processes, and achieving operational excellence.
- Core Duties
- Manage database operations, tackle complex incident resolutions, and drive service enhancements.
- Design and deploy high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions across various database environments.
- Lead initiatives for database performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning.
- Champion automation projects aimed at boosting operational efficiency.
- Guide and mentor database administrators while providing technical direction.
- Assist in project delivery, including migrations and database transformation projects.
Technical Requirements:
- Essential skills: Database Administration, Oracle DBA, SQL Database Administration, SQL DBA.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of design principles and the fundamentals of architecture.
- Comprehension of performance engineering concepts.
- Familiarity with quality processes and estimation techniques.
- Basic understanding of project domains.
- Capability to convert functional and non-functional requirements into system specifications.
