Data Warehouse Testing Lead

Job Overview:

• As a Quality Engineering Lead specializing in Data Warehouse Testing, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and availability of business-critical data, enabling insight-driven decision-making.
• You will spearhead testing initiatives across intricate Data Warehouse (DWH) and ETL ecosystems, working closely with data engineers, BI developers, and business stakeholders to validate end-to-end data flows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead comprehensive Data Warehouse Testing (DWT) initiatives across various projects, ensuring superior data quality and integrity.
• Design, plan, and implement test strategies and test plans for DWH and ETL components in alignment with business and technical specifications.
• Validate data mapping, transformations, aggregations, and the movement of data from source systems to staging DWH and downstream applications.
• Create and maintain detailed test cases, scenarios, and data sets for DWT and ETL testing.
• Conduct functional, regression, system integration, and user acceptance testing for data warehouse solutions.
• Analyze complex SQL queries and datasets to detect discrepancies, defects, and their root causes.
• Collaborate with ETL developers, data modelers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and efficiently resolve defects.
• Establish and uphold quality standards, best practices, and processes for data testing within the team.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior testers, educating them on DWT and ETL testing methodologies and tools.
• Prepare and present clear test reports, defect metrics, and quality dashboards for stakeholders and project leadership.
• Engage in design and code review discussions from a quality assurance perspective, identifying potential data quality risks.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely test execution and alignment with project schedules and release plans.
• This position may require flexibility in location based on business needs.

Technical Requirements:

• Core competencies include Cloud testing, AWS Testing, Data Services, DWT, Data Warehouse Testing, ETL Data Services, Test Data Management (TDM), Delphix, IBM Optim, Database, PL/SQL, Package testing, MDM, and Python.
• Preferred skills include Big Data and Python.
