Cost Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and managing cost data to help improve efficiency and profitability. The role includes budgeting, cost variance analysis, inventory valuation, and preparation of cost reports to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze cost reports and costing audits.
• Conduct cost variance analysis and present insights to management.
• Develop standard cost models for new and existing products/services.
• Monitor and maintain the cost accounting system and cost ledger.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes for cost efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure accurate cost allocation.
• Assist in monthly closing processes including journal entries and reconciliation of cost accounts.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities with relevant cost data.
• Prepare cost estimates for new product development and proposals.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial and accounting regulations and internal controls.
