Job Description

  • Assist in food preparation activities, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients
  • Follow recipes and cooking instructions accurately under the guidance of senior chefs
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, kitchen equipment, and utensils
  • Assist in the implementation of food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP guidelines
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food service operations
  • Support in the preparation of mise en place for various stations in the kitchen
  • Assist in plating and presentation of dishes according to established standards
  • Participate in regular team meetings and briefings
  • Contribute to maintaining proper inventory levels and minimizing food waste
  • Adapt to changes in menu items and cooking techniques as required by the culinary team
  • Passion for culinary arts and a strong desire to learn and grow in the field
  • Basic knowledge of various cooking techniques and flavor profiles
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented approach to food preparation and presentation
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Basic food safety and hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences
  • Culinary diploma or relevant experience in a professional kitchen (preferred)
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
