Job Description
- Provide technical support, administration, and engineering for client/server, middleware, and/or mainframe applications, hardware, or operating systems.
- Serve as a Cognos Administrator with 6–8 years of experience in Cognos 10.1 and 10.2, including upgrading, patching, installing, and configuring.
- Work with large databases such as SQL Server, Netezza, DB2, and Oracle.
- Administer Cognos in an enterprise IBM environment; must be focused on administration, not development.
- Manage deployments and versioning using tools like Metamanager and iCS.
- Utilize Cognos Report Studio, Framework Manager, and Transformer for administration tasks.
- Analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and provide effective solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and challenges, applying best practices in business intelligence reporting and data quality.
- Understand software development lifecycle methodologies, particularly Agile.
