Cobol Production Support Professional

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain applications using COBOL (Open COBOL experience preferred)
• Design and implement system integration solutions using Perl and shell scripting
• Write, optimize, and maintain Perl scripts (v5) for automation and system processes
• Develop and manage Unix/Linux shell scripts for backend operations
• Handle multi-threading, forking, and process management in Perl
• Implement socket programming for system-level integrations
• Integrate Perl scripts with shell scripts and user interaction components
• Support production systems and troubleshoot issues in real-time environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration and system enhancements
