COATER PLANT OPERATOR

Job Purpose

Ensure safe, efficient operation and monitoring of the coating line to meet production, quality, and equipment-performance requirements, while helping maintain smooth shift operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with plant safety rules, PPE requirements, LOTO procedures, SOPs, and 5S standards.
• Operate the assigned coater equipment and assist with startup, shutdown, venting, conditioning, and glass-flow activities.
• Track process parameters, alarms, equipment status, and production progress; escalate abnormalities immediately.
• Complete required quality and process checks, recognize defects, and segregate non-conforming products.
• Collaborate with the console operator, inspection team, quality, maintenance, and shift supervision to sustain uninterrupted production.
• Carry out routine equipment inspections and support cleaning, planned maintenance, target changes, and vent overhauls.
• Accurately document production data, inspection results, downtime, defects, and shift handover information.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and actively participate in continuous-improvement activities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Technical Diploma, or ITI qualification preferred.
• Manufacturing or process-industry experience preferred.
• Basic skills in equipment operation, troubleshooting, quality inspection, and computer use.
• Ability to follow work instructions, communicate clearly, work effectively in a team, and perform rotating-shift duties.
