Client Reporting Analyst

The Strategic Client Service Reporting Analyst will collaborate with TCW’s Strategic Client Service and Operations teams to deliver recurring reporting, data validation, and reconciliation activities for all client types. The role focuses on ensuring accurate, on-time delivery of performance, holdings, and compliance reports to clients and distribution platforms, while preserving data integrity across multiple internal systems (including SalesVision, Morningstar, Lipper, ICI, Schwab, and Fidelity).

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out and verify recurring daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly client and intermediary reports (such as Fund Charges, Mutual Fund Flows, ETF Reports, and Market Timing).
• Download, prepare, and publish reports including SalesVision, Morningstar, Lipper, ICI, and third-party distribution platforms (including Schwab and Fidelity).
• Complete monthly SEC Yield updates and website performance reviews after reports are published.
• Maintain and update templates, file structures, and trial balance files to support reporting consistency.
• Identify, review, and reconcile data discrepancies between internal and external reports; escalate exceptions as needed.
• Oversee data inputs and updates for various products, including dealer compliance reports.
• Partner with Communications, Data Engineering, and Accounting teams to support timely and accurate report delivery.
• Document reporting procedures and schedules; evaluate and implement process enhancements.
• Assist with automation of recurring reporting activities in collaboration with offshore and technology partners.
• Provide support for ad-hoc client reporting requests and internal performance reviews.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in client reporting, performance reporting, or investment operations within an asset management or financial services organization.
• Strong Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, lookups, and data validation.
• Working knowledge of SQL or comparable query tools to perform basic data extraction and validation.
• Familiarity with fund accounting principles, performance calculations, and SEC yield reporting.
• Experience managing recurring reporting schedules and working with large datasets with strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with institutional client reporting platforms (e.g., SalesVision).
• Background working with UCITS or global fund reporting standards.
• Experience with VBA, Python, or other automation/scripting tools to support report automation.
• Knowledge of data governance and control frameworks.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with onshore and offshore teams across multiple time zones
