CISNGE - ITOM Event Management Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and provide support for ServiceNow ITOM Event Management solutions
• Configure Event Management settings including Alert Correlation, Alert Aggregation, and Event Rules to minimize noise and enhance operational visibility
• Integrate various monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, SolarWinds, SCOM, and Nagios with ServiceNow Event Management
• Set up and oversee MID Servers, Discovery schedules, and Service Mapping solutions
• Ensure the accurate population and ongoing maintenance of CMDB data through Discovery and integration methodologies
• Create custom event processing rules, transform maps, scripts, and automation workflows
• Implement automated workflows for incident creation, alert enrichment, and remediation using Flow Designer and IntegrationHub
• Troubleshoot issues related to event ingestion, alert correlation, CMDB, and integrations
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, cloud, and operations teams to enhance monitoring and service visibility
• Conduct root cause analysis of recurring incidents and propose proactive monitoring solutions
• Assist with platform upgrades, patches, and the implementation of new features within the ITOM suite
• Develop dashboards, reports, and operational metrics to measure the effectiveness of event management
• Create technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge articles
• Adhere to ITIL best practices for Event, Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes
