Chief Resident Engineer-Consultant-Civil-Construction Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Oversight & Execution:
• Lead the day-to-day management of the construction project, ensuring alignment with the design, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
• Supervise construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, project specifications, and local building codes.
• Act as the client's representative on-site and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Monitor the performance of the contractor and sub-contractors to ensure the timely and quality completion of work.
• Design & Quality Assurance:
• Review construction designs and ensure they are being implemented according to specifications and plans.
• Identify and resolve any design or construction discrepancies or issues that may arise.
• Conduct quality inspections, audits, and ensure proper documentation of work completed.
• Project Coordination & Documentation:
• Collaborate with the project management team to monitor project progress, report on status, and identify any potential risks or delays.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, changes, and daily reports.
• Ensure compliance with the project's budget, timeline, and scope by managing construction schedules and performing regular site assessments.
• Approve materials, methods, and schedules proposed by the contractor.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Oversee the implementation of safety procedures on-site and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Provide guidance and support to contractors and workers regarding safe practices and accident prevention.
• Conduct site safety meetings and ensure all construction personnel are trained and follow safety protocols.
• Team Leadership & Training:
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers, site supervisors, and other construction personnel.
• Coordinate with other engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, etc.) to ensure smooth integration of all project phases.
• Provide training and professional development opportunities for the site team.
• Reporting & Stakeholder Communication:
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the client and senior management, highlighting key milestones, risks, and any issues requiring attention.
• Manage client relationships, addressing concerns and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Professional certification or membership (e.g., Chartered Engineer, PE) is highly desirable.
• Experience:
• A minimum of [X] years of experience in civil construction, with at least [X] years in a leadership or senior engineering role.

• Ability to identify and mitigate construction risks and resolve conflicts effectively.
