Job Description
What you'll do:
- Team Leadership
- Lead and manage the XT team across the region.
- Recruit, onboard, promote, and retain top talent in an extremely fast-paced context.
- Proactively manage team performance, career paths, goal setting, learning and development.
- Coach and mentor team leaders on consulting, thought leadership, sales, pursuits, and senior professional skills and mindsets.
- Effectively model the behaviors of adaptability, accountability, transparency, collaboration, and proactive problem solving.
- Support a safe and healthy space for all team members.
- Resourcing & Delivery
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality UX/UI work that exceeds client expectations and addresses the right problems, opportunities, and constraints, while taking opportunities to expand our relationships as strategic thought partners.
- In collaboration with other XT Regional Heads, maintain a clear line of oversight into all India-based and multi-region client engagements, leveraging a mature delivery quality framework, providing actionable guidelines and meaningful transparency, and ensuring that issues are identified, communicated, and addressed proactively and completely.
- Forecast and manage team utilization (in collaboration with XT Operations and other XT Regional Heads), making strategic and tactical decisions to ensure XT maintains healthy utilization while also having capacity to grow the practice through internal contributions to RFPs, PoVs, proposals, case studies, domain expertise, methodologies, and other thought leadership.
- Consulting: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored XT solutions
- Leverage XT engagements (including staff aug and managed services) to build and deepen client relationships, gaining more understanding of their needs and pain points, and contributing that intelligence to support XT renewals, expansions, and overall account growth, while delivering more ROI for our clients.
- Effectively contribute to selling and shaping client engagements: craft and deliver effective proposals, including POVs, case studies, design thinking workshops, and Art of the Possible concepts, journeys, personas, and other artifacts that demonstrate an effective and differentiated approach to the problem and solution space.
- Guide and influence XT engagements with clients through an understanding of business contexts, opportunities, and constraints.
- Represent Persistent XT in the region with internal partners and clients.
- Drive innovation and stay updated with the latest UX trends and best practices, with an emphasis on designing with AI and for AI.
Expertise You'll Bring:
- 15+ years of experience in UX and product design and/or digital transformation, with a track record of successful UX engagements that include consulting, managed services, and staff augmentation models
- 15+ years of experience leading large teams and working comfortably across multiple teams & projects simultaneously, with demonstrated experience and perspective on inspiring and motivating a team through growth and change
- Examples of work that demonstrate mastery and mentorship-level skills in user-centered design and design thinking, and effectively communicate your thought process, decision making, and leadership, as well as clear and persuasive communication, presentation, and storytelling
- Expert skills in: facilitation, collaboration, project management, problem-solving, attention to detail, productivity tools (e.g. Office/Teams), and managing and communicating with data.
- Expert-level skills with UX tools such as Figma, Adobe, and Miro
