Job Description

A Business Development Manager (BDM) focuses on driving growth by identifying new opportunities, building client and partner relationships, and developing strategies to increase revenue. Key responsibilities include market research, lead generation, creating proposals, negotiating deals, and collaborating with internal teams like marketing and sales. The role requires strong communication, sales, and strategic thinking skills. 

Key responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities: Research new markets, analyze competitor activities, and identify trends to find potential business opportunities.
  • Lead generation: Prospect for potential clients through various channels like networking, cold calling, and industry events, and manage the sales pipeline.
  • Relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Strategy development: Develop and implement strategic sales and business growth plans to meet revenue targets.
  • Sales execution: Create and deliver sales proposals and presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and other departments to align efforts and optimize lead generation.
  • Performance reporting: Monitor and evaluate business performance, analyze sales data, and report on key metrics and market trends to senior management.
  • Partnership development: Establish strategic alliances with other companies to expand reach and access new customer bases.
