Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with business teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective data visualizations.
• Use SQL to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple data sources into Power BI.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to ensure data accuracy and improve report performance.
• Build and manage data models in Power BI, ensuring alignment with business requirements and data consistency.
• Provide ongoing support for existing Power BI reports, making updates as required by stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to Power BI reports and SQL queries.
• Ensure that Power BI reports adhere to data governance and security best practices.
• Assist end-users with training and troubleshooting Power BI reports and dashboards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, with a strong portfolio of developed reports and dashboards.
• Proficient in SQL, with experience writing complex queries, stored procedures, and data transformations.
• Strong understanding of data modelling and design principles in Power BI.
• Experience using Power Query and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for data transformation and reporting.
• Ability to work with large datasets and ensure that reports and dashboards remain efficient and responsive.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address data-related challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Power BI Service for report sharing and collaboration.
• Knowledge of data visualization best practices to create clear and insightful reports.
• Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
