Qualifications and Education Requirements

B.E. Mech/Automobile or equivalent from a reputed Institution / University

Role and Responsibilities

• CAD modelling and drawing creation of BIW panels and assemblies in NX
• Concept proposal, creating or updating master sections, Packaging study, Interference check
• Creation of joining elements for the assembly
• Should be able to guide and ensure the deliveries of the team.
• Ensure quality and timelines of every deliverable in the projects.
• Should be able to resolve the issues received from CAE, manufacturing feasibility, etc
• Interact with cross function teams, manufacturing vendors.
• Weekly status tracking and reporting to partner
• Adherence of QMS process
• Documentation of lesson learnt and sharing within team
• Bring in Ideas for process improvement
• Generating ideas for cost reduction and weight reduction

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of product design for BIW component/Assemblies.
• Knowledge of product design for casting component will be added advantage
• Should be able to apply GD&T at Individual part and subassembly/System Level.
• Should have good understanding of milestones in BIW Design & Development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of BIW panel manufacturing and assembly sequences.
• Problem solving
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to write reports.
• Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change.
• Accurate and strong attention to detail.
• Software – NX (Must)
• PLM tools- Team Center, etc
• Experience working with Passenger Car is a must.
