Backup Administrator L2

Description

We are seeking a Backup Administrator L2 to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 4-6 years of experience in backup and recovery technologies, with proven expertise in backup administration. The candidate should be able to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backup and recovery. The candidate should be able to work with cross-functional teams, provide technical support, and maintain backup infrastructure. The candidate should have excellent communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform backup and recovery activities, including backup scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Manage and maintain backup infrastructure, including tape libraries, backup servers, and disk-based backup systems
• Implement backup policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical support and resolve issues related to backup and recovery
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing, and develop backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss
• Create and maintain backup documentation, including backup logs and reports
• Stay up-to-date with the latest backup and recovery technologies, and provide recommendations on best practices

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
• 4-6 years of experience in backup and recovery technologies
• Expertise in backup administration, including backup scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Experience with backup infrastructure, including tape libraries, backup servers, and disk-based backup systems
• Strong understanding of backup policies and procedures, and compliance with security policies and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Experience in disaster recovery planning and testing
• Knowledge of cloud-based backup solutions is a plus
