AWS SRE

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee and administer AWS cloud environment components including EC2, VPC, EKS, ECS, RDS, S3, IAM, Route53, and CloudWatch.
• Design and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions utilizing Terraform.
• Automate the deployment, configuration, and management of infrastructure resources.
• Continuously monitor system and application performance, ensuring optimal availability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Lead incident management efforts, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement effective problem resolution strategies.
• Develop and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Ensure system high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery capabilities are in place and functioning effectively.
• Implement security best practices, including IAM policies, secrets management, and compliance controls to safeguard cloud resources.
• Optimize AWS resource utilization to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with development teams and platform engineers to facilitate seamless production deployments.

Technical Expertise Required:

• Proficiency with Cloud Platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Strong background in DevOps practices and tools
• Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and methodologies

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• DevOps expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) frameworks
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure management using Terraform
