AWS Observability Architect

Responsibilities

• Design and Implement Observability Solutions: Develop comprehensive observability strategies for monitoring, logging, and tracing within AWS environments.
• Optimize Performance: Analyze system performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance application performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with DevOps, development, and operations teams to integrate observability best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop Dashboards and Alerts: Create and maintain dashboards and alerts to provide actionable insights and ensure timely response to incidents.
• Automate Processes: Implement automation for monitoring, alerting, and incident response to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.
• Ensure Security and Compliance: Ensure observability solutions comply with security and regulatory standards and best practices.
• Mentor Team Members: Provide guidance and support to junior team members to build a robust observability practice across the organization.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 8+ years of experience and Minimum of 5 years of experience in observability, monitoring, or related roles, with a strong focus on AWS environments.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in AWS services such as CloudWatch, X-Ray, and CloudTrail, as well as experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
• Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Problem-solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions.
• Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Certifications: AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar are preferred.
