AWS Database Migration

What You'll Do:

• The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of networking protocols, cloud services (primarily AWS).
• Performance tuning to ensure secure, efficient, and scalable database migration solutions.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Database Migration and Transfer
• Design and implement strategies for large-scale Oracle database migration and transfer from on-premises to AWS cloud environments.
• Experience in Oracle Database administration will be required.
• Address challenges related to data formats, volumes, and velocity.
• AWS Cloud Services:Leverage AWS services like RDS, EC2, DMS, DataPump, transoportable tablespace, RMAN, S3 and others to enable efficient database migration.
• Design scalable and cost-effective solutions using AWS best practices.
• Ensure robust IAM roles, security groups, and compliance standards in AWS environments.
• Networking: Architect and configure networks to ensure optimal database transfer performance.
• Implement secure and reliable network configurations for hybrid and multi-cloud setups.
• Optimize bandwidth and connectivity solutions for high-throughput data pipelines.
• Performance Tuning: Perform performance tuning of database migration and transfer workflows, ensuring low-latency and high-throughput for large datasets.
• Analyze and optimize cloud resource utilization to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Implement performance monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting processes for database migration pipelines.
• Identify and address bottlenecks in data transfer, network throughput, and AWS services.
• Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and technical requirements.
• Mentor and guide teams on best practices for cloud database migration, networking, performance tuning, and DevOps.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in cloud computing, networking, and database engineering.
