AWS Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable solutions using ANSI SQL, AWS Lambda, Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS Glue to effectively support business needs.
• Work with cross-functional teams to collect requirements, convert them into technical specifications, and create actionable implementation plans.
• Lead the deployment of cloud-based solutions, ensuring strong performance, security, and reliability.
• Deliver technical leadership by mentoring team members and supporting a collaborative, innovative engineering culture.
• Track system performance, diagnose, and resolve issues to maintain smooth and uninterrupted operations.
• Create and maintain documentation covering system architecture, processes, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and standardization.
• Perform code reviews and uphold coding standards to ensure high-quality output and minimize technical debt.
• Continuously monitor emerging industry trends and technologies and incorporate relevant innovations into projects to improve efficiency.
• Enhance data pipelines and workflows using AWS Glue to enable efficient data processing and transformation.
• Build reliable error handling and logging strategies to improve system dependability and long-term maintainability.
• Ensure solutions comply with organizational policies and standards while aligning delivery with business objectives.
• Partner with stakeholders to provide consistent updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts aimed at increasing system performance and improving team productivity.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in ANSI SQL for effective data querying and manipulation.
• Proven proficiency in AWS Lambda for serverless computing and event-driven architecture.
• Strong skills in Node.js and TypeScript for developing scalable, maintainable applications.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Glue for data integration and transformation workflows.
• Working knowledge of cloud computing concepts, principles, and best practices.
