AWS Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

we are seeking an experienced aws cloud engineer or euc specialist with 8+ years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing large-scale amazon workspaces environments. the ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, networking, and enterprise-level workspace solutions. the role includes workspace provisioning, disaster recovery planning, compliance, and performance optimization across global regions.

Key Responsibilities

• design and implement scalable amazon workspaces across regions (us east, emea, sea)
• architect personal and pooled workspace models for up to 5,000 users in production
• serve as a disaster recovery layer for existing azure virtual desktop environments
• manage user profiles (standard, power, gpu) using fslogix for o365 and non-persistent use
• implement byol strategy and manage custom images via image builder and core base images
• enforce naming conventions, tagging strategies, and iam role assignments
• automate provisioning using aws cli, cloudformation, and other scripting tools
• manage iam permissions, domain policies, and secure ad integrations
• ensure compliance via encryption, access policies, and audit logging with cloudtrail
• configure network settings including vpcs, subnets, endpoints, and security groups
• enable multi-az deployments and aws direct connect for secure hybrid connectivity
• establish observability frameworks using cloudwatch, cloudtrail, and internal logging
• define backup, recovery, and rollback procedures for workspace environments
• provide support for image optimization and continuous workspace improvements
