Aveva PI Principal Consultant

Position Overview:

• We are on the lookout for a highly proficient AVEVA PI Engineer Consultant who possesses extensive technical knowledge of the AVEVA PI System, particularly in PI RDBMS integration and the configuration and support of the PI OPC UA Connector.
• The selected candidate will be tasked with designing, implementing, configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing data acquisition and integration solutions within industrial settings.
• This position demands substantial hands-on experience with PI Interfaces, Connectors, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Data Archive, PI Vision, and enterprise integration with RDBMS platforms such as SQL Server, as well as a strong understanding of OPC UA-based industrial connectivity.

Primary Duties:

• Administration and engineering of the AVEVA PI System.
• Design, implement, configure, and provide support for AVEVA PI System components including:
• PI Data Archive
• PI Asset Framework (AF)
• PI Vision
• PI Interface Connector framework
• PI Analytics Event Frames (preferred)
• Oversee the creation, configuration, archival strategy, compression, exception reporting, and security settings for PI tags and AF elements.
• Assist with PI System upgrades, migrations, patching, and configurations for high availability.

Technical Qualifications:

• Fundamental PI System capabilities.
• Extensive hands-on experience with:
• AVEVA PI Data Archive
• PI AF
• PI Vision
• PI Interfaces and Connectors
• PI Interface OPC DA, RDBMS, PItoPI, and PI connector for OPC UA
• Strong understanding of PI tag configuration, digital states, buffering, archival behavior, and data collection strategies.
• Familiarity with PI security mappings, trusts, identities, and service account management.
