Automation Lead

Black And White Business Solutions is actively seeking a highly experienced and visionary Automation Lead to drive our test automation strategies. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in Java Selenium, TOSCA, and a strong understanding of both BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) Cucumber and TDD (Test-Driven Development) methodologies. You will play a pivotal role in leading automation initiatives, mentoring teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Automation Strategy: Define, develop, and implement comprehensive test automation strategies and frameworks using industry best practices.
• Framework Development: Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable automation frameworks primarily using Java Selenium and TOSCA.
• Methodology Implementation: Drive the adoption and effective implementation of BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) using Cucumber and TDD (Test-Driven Development) principles across development and QA teams.
• Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and guide a team of automation engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Test Script Development: Oversee the creation of high-quality, reusable, and maintainable automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, product, and QA teams to integrate automation into the CI/CD pipeline and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Reporting and Analysis: Establish and monitor automation KPIs, generate insightful reports on test execution and defect trends, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Tool Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend new automation tools and technologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Problem Solving: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and problem-solving for complex automation challenges.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Java Selenium: Extensive hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing test automation solutions using Java with Selenium WebDriver.
• TOSCA: Proven expertise in using TOSCA Testsuite for end-to-end test automation, including model-based test automation.
• BDD Cucumber: Strong experience in implementing Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) principles and writing executable specifications using Cucumber.
• TDD: Solid understanding and practical experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies, driving quality from the initial stages of development.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage automation teams, driving projects to successful completion.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify automation opportunities and resolve technical challenges.
• CI/CD Integration: Experience integrating automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
