Atlassian Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Atlassian Engineer who have strong understanding of Linux architecture, filesystems, processes, permissions, and shell scripting.
• Bash scripting for automating tasks and system management.
• Familiarity with system calls like fork(), exec(), mmap(), etc.
• Working with ext4, XFS, and understanding mount points, inodes, etc.
• Experience with build systems and dependency management.
• Debugging and performance profiling tools.

Must have:

Core Skills:

• Linux Fundamentals – Strong understanding of Linux architecture, filesystems, processes, permissions, and shell scripting.
• Shell Scripting – Bash scripting for automating tasks and system management.
• Linux System Programming:
• Syscalls & Kernel APIs – Familiarity with system calls like fork(), exec(), mmap(), etc.
• Filesystem & Storage Management – Working with ext4, XFS, and understanding mount points, inodes, etc.
• Build & Debugging Tools:
• Make, CMake, Autotools – Experience with build systems and dependency management.
• GDB, Valgrind, strace, ltrace – Debugging and performance profiling tools.

Nice to have:

• Version Control & DevOps Basics:
• Git & CI/CD Pipelines – Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI for version control and automation.
• Containerization & Virtualization – Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes basics.
