Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager - Order Fulfillment

Responsibilities

In this role, the shortlisted candidate will be responsible for

  • Aligns supplier orders with customer requirements (based on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/project requirements) in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price

  • Understanding the requirements well in line with relevant departments, Initiates Purchase orders in the system (Through MRP or PR or manual) , confirms delivery with suppliers (OA), monitors and tracks supplier performance to purchase order requirements

  • Vendor onboarding using ERP's

  • Analyze on Cost (Optimization/Savings) New supplier identification, sourcing, Price contract, Bech marking, Vendor rationalization.

  • Process knowledge on Sheet metals, Wire forms, turned parts, rubber parts, Plastics, Injection molding, Metal castings and forgings along with Drawing analysis

  • Cross functional activities- Manages the day-to-day activities with a portfolio of domestic and international suppliers fulfilling the needs of both internal and external customers (Engineering / QA / Production / Stores/ Admin and Finance). Executes implementation of PL Strategy in alignment with relevant category team

  • Tracks goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure invoice processing (GRN)

  • Oversee supplier performance (on time delivery, quality, lead time), and resolves performance issues

  • Conducts all Supply Chain activities for all goods and services in accordance with policies and procedures

  • Ensures Pro-Supply global supplier relationship management platform is kept updated as defined in Pro-Supply procedure

  • Should be able to visit suppliers frequently 25-40% depending on urgency.

In this role, the candidate may have to sometimes work during global hours in order to connect with other teams working in different time zones. There may also be possibilities for any business travels locally or outside the country.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

  • Electrical Engineer, Industrial Engineer or Mechanical Engineer

  • Good years of work experience

  • Must have good communication skills in English - Any knowledge of a foreign language is a bonus

  • Sourcing specific certifications like CPM and SPSM is a plus.

Preferred skills:

  • Good years of sourcing and procurement experience.

  • Should possess strong negotiation skills

  • Should possess good interpersonal skills and must be a team player

  • Should have basic understanding of End-to-End Sourcing & Procurement processes & its implications in a manufacturing industry.
