Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Payroll Management

  • Oversee monthly payroll processing for all employees.
  • Validate attendance, overtime, deductions, and variable components.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely salary disbursement.
  • Coordinate with Finance for payroll reconciliation.

2. Statutory Compliance & Labour Laws

  • Ensure adherence to all statutory compliances including PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus, Shops & Establishment, CLRA, and other labour laws.
  • Prepare and file statutory returns within deadlines.
  • Maintain compliance records, audits, and documentation.
  • Act as the point of contact for labour law consultants and government inspections.

3. Attendance & Leave Management

  • Monitor and maintain attendance records for blue-collar and white-collar employees.
  • Manage leave policies, approvals, and balances.
  • Handle biometric/attendance system issues in coordination with vendors.

4. HRMS & Data Management

  • Manage and update the HRMS system, ensuring accurate employee data.
  • Drive automation and system improvements for HR processes.
  • Generate HR dashboards, MIS reports, and analytical data.

5. Employee Life Cycle Management

  • Oversee onboarding formalities and documentation.
  • Manage confirmation, transfers, and employment letters.
  • Handle Full & Final settlements including calculations, recoveries, and exit documentation.
  • Manage gratuity and bonus processing.

6. Performance Management System (PMS)

  • Support annual and mid-year appraisal cycles.
  • Coordinate with team leads/managers for goal-setting and evaluations.
  • Maintain performance records and ensure timely completion.

7. Employee Relations & Grievance Handling

  • Build strong rapport with employees across all levels, especially blue-collar workforce.
  • Address grievances related to salary, attendance, leaves, workplace issues, etc.
  • Promote positive employee engagement and discipline.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Indian Labour Laws & HR compliances.
  • Hands-on experience in payroll processing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage blue-collar workforce effectively.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in HRMS software and MS Office.
  • Problem-solving approach and ability to work under deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing/industrial setup preferred.
