Assistant Civil/Civil BIM Engineer (Utilities)

Responsibilities

• Design of utility routes (wet and dry), space management, and managing technical interfaces
• Work in a 3D modeling environment using Bentley OpenRoads
• Develop Plan and Profile drawings in Civil 3D for utilities
• Prepare utility profiles and cross-sections
• Collect and integrate utility information from various design teams
• Build integrated utility models and perform coordination with other disciplines
• Review and manage federated utility models and resolve model conflicts
• Deliver clash-free detailed models with high accuracy
• Follow project-specific modeling conventions and standards
• Extract and summarize attribute content from models
• Understand surface and site grading (basic proficiency in Civil 3D)
• Utilize online portals and intranet for accessing relevant utility data

Candidate Specification

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Environmental, or relevant Engineering discipline
• Experience with Bentley software, including MicroStation and OpenRoads (preferred)
• Familiar with ProjectWise environment
• Hands-on experience with Civil 3D and Navisworks (preferred)
• Background in multi-disciplinary civil engineering projects using BIM and 3D models
• Ability to identify and resolve complex BIM issues efficiently
• Strong proactive communication skills for team coordination
• Ability to work independently with a structured, organized approach
• Potential to lead or supervise a small utilities modeling team (depending on experience)
