Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, configuration, and upgrade of Oracle ASAP (versions 7.0–7.3) in complex and production environments.
- Manage ASAP setup with WebLogic, including configuration of managed servers, admin servers, and node managers.
- Configure ASAP for Database RAC setup, manage database and WebLogic Server patch applications.
- Utilize OCA and OCA Client Templates to create, test, and validate orders within ASAP.
- Monitor ASAP application and server performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Design, develop, and test ASAP cartridges using Oracle Design Studio; perform deployments, revisions, and undeployments.
- Conduct root cause analysis, debugging, and resolution of failed or incomplete orders.
- Perform code builds, deployments, and integration testing in development and testing environments.
- Collaborate with telecom clients to support provisioning operations and ensure smooth order activation processes.
- Work effectively both independently and within a team, demonstrating ownership and accountability.
- Provide customer support with strong communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Be flexible to work in shift schedules (e.g., IST Noon to 9 PM / EST 2:30 AM to 11:30 PM).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (BE/BTech/MCA/MTech) in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications.
- Minimum 3–10 years of hands-on experience working on Oracle ASAP activation systems (versions 7.2.0 and 7.3).
- Strong understanding of Telecom domain operations and provisioning workflows.
- Proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments and Shell scripting.
- Working knowledge of Java, SQL, XML, and Web Services technologies.
- Experience in Oracle Design Studio, ASAP cartridge development, and deployment lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to OSS activation systems.
- Excellent communication and customer handling skills with a proactive approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting small to mid-size mobile telecom operators.
- Exposure to Oracle OSS/BSS suite and integration projects.
- Familiarity with WebLogic Administration and ASAP performance tuning.
