Arena Developer_Angular Java Springboot

Job Overview:

• We are seeking a talented Full Stack Software Engineer to become part of our team dedicated to the development of our proprietary Arena Platform.
• This position emphasizes the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of scalable Arena services utilizing the Java Spring ecosystem alongside Angular.
• The successful candidate will be accountable for creating robust backend services with Java and Spring Boot, while also engaging in frontend development using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• You will work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-quality, and maintainable solutions within an Agile framework.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services utilizing Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Implement and optimize data persistence mechanisms employing JPA and Hibernate with MySQL.
• Design and oversee integrations with Elasticsearch for enhanced object storage and search functionalities.
• Create and sustain RESTful APIs that are utilized by frontend applications.
• Develop and improve frontend features using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Oversee frontend dependencies and build processes using Yarn and Node-based build tools.
• Convert business and functional requirements into comprehensive technical solutions.
• Conduct impact analysis, perform code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot and rectify functional, performance, and production issues across both UI and backend layers.
• Ensure application quality, performance, and reliability through rigorous testing and refactoring.
• Utilize Gradle and Podman for backend builds and containerization.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines via GitLab and facilitate deployment automation through Ansible.
• Maintain adherence to code quality standards and security protocols.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and Product teams for effective feature delivery and release planning.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, estimations, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Technical Qualifications:

• Essential Skills and Experience
• 3 to 5 years of experience in full stack software development.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Angular.
• Strong understanding of JPA, Hibernate ORM concepts, and relational databases such as MySQL.
• Experience in designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Practical knowledge or experience with Elasticsearch.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies, including Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Exceptional debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in Linux-based environments.
• Proficient in Git and collaborative development processes.
• Familiar with Agile Scrum methodologies.
• Experience using project management tools like Rally or ServiceNow.
• Strong communication skills and capability to work collaboratively across teams.

Additional Qualifications:

• Desirable Skills
• Familiarity with Python and Scala.
• Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Spark.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Podman or Docker.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitLab CI/CD.
• Working knowledge of Ansible or other infrastructure automation tools.
• Experience in deploying or supporting applications on AWS, especially EC2.
• Understanding of UI/UX best practices and frontend performance optimization.
• Education
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
