Architect AWS Network Operations

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage AWS network infrastructure to support business needs.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Develop and maintain network architecture documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy secure and scalable network solutions.
• Implement network security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Perform regular network audits and assessments to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior network engineers and other team members.
• Stay updated with the latest AWS services, networking technologies, and industry trends.
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for network operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience and 5+ years of experience in network operations, with a focus on AWS services.
• Strong knowledge of AWS networking services, including VPC, Direct Connect, Route 53, and CloudFront.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as CloudWatch, Wireshark, and Nagios.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with network security concepts and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty certification is a plus.
