Job Description
We are seeking a Snowflake Data Engineering Architect to lead the transformation of our current data engineering and analytics function into a modern scalable product oriented Data Platform organization You will define the vision architecture operating model and execution roadmap required to evolve from project based data delivery to a platform that enables self-service reliable governed and analytics ready data across the company
This is a deeply handson leadership role for a technical expert who actively designs systems prototypes solutions reviews code and guides teams through complex challenges You will modernize our data stack establish platform standards introduce best practices for reliability and governance and enable teams across the business to build data products efficiently and safely
Responsibilities
- 10 to 15 years in data engineering analytics or data platform roles
- Proven experience designing largescale data platforms
- Strong handson expertise in
Snowflake mandatory architecture performance tuning data modeling
AWS mandatory S3 Glue Lambda Redshift EMR etc
Python mandatory data processing and automation
- Strong expertise in logical and physical data modeling including enterprise Logical Data Model LDM design
- Deep knowledge of data modeling dimensional Data Vault star snowflake schemas
- Strong SQL and experience with ELTETL frameworks
- Experience with distributed processing Spark etc
- Solid understanding of batch and realtime architectures
- Experience with BI tools Tableau Power BI Looker etc
- Strong expertise in data governance security and compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelors / Masters in Computer Science Engineering or related field
