API Developer

Responsibilities:

• Software Development Lifecycle: Engage hands-on in the software development process, including requirements gathering, use case definition, design, and implementation of software solutions. Participate in architecture and design reviews of complex technical solutions.
• API Development: Develop excellent hands-on Java/J2EE and RESTAPI development.
• Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Lead and conduct Requirements & Design sessions with customers. Ability to lead and coordinate with Java & RESTAPI developers, other architects, and stakeholders.
• Database Interaction: Work effectively with Oracle/SQL Server database and SQL.
• Agile Methodologies: Utilize Agile development methodologies, specifically Scrum.
• Process & Standards Promotion: Develop and promote processes, best practices, and standards in Software Development.
• System Integration: Implement third-party systems and design integration points to other systems.
• Architectural Alignment: Collaborate with architecture teams to ensure alignment of requirements and solutions, and to facilitate design sign-off and approvals.
• Risk Mitigation: Understand the technical risks associated with each aspect of the service and/or project, and ensure these are mitigated.
• Large Scale Systems: Proven industry capability in building large-scale systems with hands-on engineering skills.
• Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced Development environment.
• Peer Collaboration: Work with peers in planning and coordination of work activities.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in RESTAPI Development, Java, Spring.
• Proficiency in REST (with maturity model level 3).
• Basic knowledge in Soap service, XML/JSON.
• Basic knowledge on AWS, MongoDB.
• Basic knowledge in RDBMS.
• Proficiency with GIT, JIRA.
• Familiarity with development tools like Eclipse, Postman, SoapUI, Robo 3T.
• Strong Communication Skills.
• Ability to lead and coordinate with developers, architects, and other stakeholders.
