Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Operations and Process Optimization:
- Monitor and optimize UOP technologies, ensuring the identification and resolution of issues.
- Review operations with customers, assisting in defining and quantifying customer benefits and optimizing their processes.
- Identify areas for improvement across UOP technologies and assets, with a focus on efficiency and cost reduction.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide readily available technical solutions to customers, ensuring fast resolution of operational issues.
- Perform initial triage of technical issues, escalating as necessary for further support.
- Proactively communicate insights from trends, establish patterns, and develop diagnostic investigations to prevent future issues.
Data Analytics and Insights:
- Apply data mining to handle unstructured data, deriving technical insights from various data sets.
- Perform descriptive and inferential statistics to summarize datasets and inform process improvements.
- Derive problem statements from ambiguous data, create hypotheses, and use analytics tools to test hypotheses and form conclusions.
- Analyze large amounts of historical data, clean and filter data, identify patterns, and create variables for predictive analytics.
Continuous Monitoring and Reporting:
- Ensure timely monitoring of solutions using PM, PTA, PRA, POA, Benchmarking, and EBA methodologies.
- Troubleshoot and monitor systems to ensure high on-screen availability and continuous operation.
- Work with the team to innovate next-generation BIG DATA monitoring tools using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Shift Management and Operational Excellence:
- Work in a 24/7 shift environment, being flexible and agile to respond to immediate operational needs.
- Collaborate with the GSCCC Operation Leader to ensure the GSC (Global Service Center) becomes a Center of Excellence for operational sustainability and efficiency.
Customer and Stakeholder Interaction:
- Review operations with customers and provide technical recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
- Communicate insights effectively to stakeholders, aligning with business intentions and ensuring commitment to GSCs' key results.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- BS degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
Experience:
- Experience in design or operation of UOP Technology units, particularly in Naphtha, Aromatics, Oleflex, PSA, Merox, Gas Processing, or Hydroprocessing.
- Proven experience with technical solutions and troubleshooting for UOP technologies.
- Familiarity with data mining, predictive analytics, and Big Data monitoring tools.
Key Skills:
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make improvements.
- Proficient in data analytics technologies, including Power BI, ProSight, and Machine Learning tools.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical solutions clearly to customers and stakeholders.
- Customer-focused mindset, with the ability to define and quantify customer benefits and deliver timely solutions.
