Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide system support for operating environment components such as databases, operating systems, network interfaces, storage systems, servers, and associated hardware
- Verify and approve plans for database upgrades; recommend adding new structures or elements
- Enable use of data access tools and techniques to facilitate information access by business users
- Verify and approve plans for scheduled background logs, recovery backups, and coordinate with stakeholders for deployment
- Improve procedures for accessing, maintaining, and populating databases, creating backups, managing access controls, and managing version upgrades
- Act as a senior Systems Administrator for enterprise applications by addressing system problems and enhancing system functionality based on stakeholder feedback
- Provide expertise and day-to-day end user support for CRM applications across all organizational levels
- Evaluate improvement recommendations and prioritize changes/enhancements for improved system availability, reliability, and performance
- Recommend and deploy structural changes to the operating environment in collaboration with Infrastructure, Information Security, and vendor teams
- Release public area documentation and manage key information such as build/release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
- Work with application, system vendor, infrastructure, and IT solutions teams to assess operating environment requirements and ensure documentation
- Assist in defining operating environment requirements, test cases, and action plans for new installations or migrations
- Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings as an acting member
- Create and refine reports, dashboards, and processes to monitor data quality and integrity; assist users and stakeholders with analytics and report management
- Develop and maintain training materials, coordinate new user and ongoing training sessions, and conduct trainings
- Partner with stakeholders (HR, Payroll, Finance, Audit, Benefits, Legal, associates, vendors) to determine strategic needs, define functional/technical specifications, troubleshoot issues, and implement initiatives
- Utilize complex reporting tools to develop, document, and monitor cross-process data integration points and facilitate resolution of misalignment across process areas
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
Work Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of Oracle database experience
- Experience with Oracle RAC installation and support
- Knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate (preferred)
- Skilled in defining system architecture and project objectives
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
