Ab Initio Admin

Job Description:

• We are seeking a skilled Ab Initio Administrator with 5 to 8 years of comprehensive experience in managing the Ab Initio platform.
• The selected candidate will be tasked with overseeing, supporting, and optimizing the Ab Initio environment, ensuring platform stability, deployment automation, performance tuning, and production support.
• The ideal applicant should possess extensive knowledge in the administration of large-scale enterprise data integration platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, manage, and maintain Ab Initio environments across Development, QA, UAT, and Production stages.
• Administer and support Ab Initio components including:
• Co Operating System Co Op
• Enterprise Meta Environment (EME)
• Conduct It
• Graphical Development Environment (GDE)
• Continuous Flows
• Execute software upgrades, patch management, environment migrations, and platform health assessments.
• Oversee user administration, security configurations, and access control measures.
• Guarantee high availability and reliability of the Ab Initio platform.
• Monitor critical ETL workflows and batch processing activities.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, job failures, and environment-related challenges.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive strategies.
• Provide 24/7 support for production environments and manage critical incidents.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, database, and application support teams.
• Assist with code migration and release activities across various environments.

Technical Requirements:

• 5 to 8 years of experience in Ab Initio Administration.
• Deep understanding of:
• Co Operating System
• EME
• Conduct It
• GDE
• Continuous Flows
• Proven experience in environment management, code deployments, and release support.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration skills.
• Proficient in Shell Scripting and automation techniques.
• Familiarity with Python scripting.
• Solid SQL and database troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience in production support and incident management.
• Familiarity with Autosys, Control M, or other enterprise scheduling tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Ansible.
• Understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Comprehension of Data Warehousing and ETL best practices.
• Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, or Big Data ecosystems.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and ITIL processes.
